Interview of Galiza Ano Cero
Interview by Galiza Ano Cero in which we talk about of some of our projects and the scene of art and culture.
Cuerpo Astral in musical magazines
You can find us as Cuerpo Astral in the printed edition of Mondo Sonoro and Rock de Luxe of this month.
We leave you the entire interview that Fernando Fernández Rego made us.
Why Cuerpo Astral?
It comes from a verse of a theme: "you have a brutal body, an astral body". It was fun. Then the meanings came, but they are not especially important. In any case we are like a single thing that is a sum of several.
How does the group arise?
The three of us had known each other for years, sharing stages in the Galician scene.
Iñaki and Vane we have the band Os Gru and we appreciated the trajectory of Lúa that reminded us so much of Fátima Miranda! We had a lot of geometry and tastes in common. We already did some collaboration in "Ai Ruada".
The thing was
coming, and in one of those, Lua was looking for Kefir of water in
facebook, and we had plenty of it, so we stayed to give it, and it was
when the project appeared.
In your music, although electronic music predominates, you mix all types of styles: copla, folk, hip hop, pop, reggaetón ... even live you have a staging of theater, cabaret ... What are your influences? Is your sound fully defined already?
Our influences are all that happens around, and in space in general. Anything is susceptible of being material. We think of collage and image format. The three of us studied Fine Arts, and that ends up being noticed, for example in the way of composing or solving on the stage. There are also groups like Mecano, Parchís, Peor Imposible, Chico y
Chica or Hidrogenesse, which have a lot to do with our way of
understanding music and the scene.
We have reflected a lot on our sound, and we have been molding it as if it were a sculptural material. We have used laser cutter, an anvil and a hammer.
We have reflected a lot on our sound, and we have been molding it as if it were a sculptural material. We have used laser cutter, an anvil and a hammer.
Lúa, who is a commercial
DJ, knows the mainstream music by heart, so we do not stop updating
ourselves on types of sounds and perishable tendencies. Since
the beginning of the internet we have not stopped researching
electronic music that has ended up being present in almost all genres,
in that wave lately we have coincided in things like Omniboi or Ehirobo. On
the other hand we also love to rummage in the past, Raimond Scott, all
the development of electronic dance to DubStep, or the sound of Lola
Flores and oldschool recordings are some of the multiple references of
the kind of sound we like.
Your
first record "La primera vez" (The First Time) (Ferror, 2016) is a USB card full of
surprises ... Are you so eccentric and original in everything? How did the idea come about?
It is a surprise envelope with many things and a usb card.
We had already done things like that, we love limited editions and that each person win a different thing. We love to personalize and tune with love and mischief.
We wanted to play with the idea of oracle, and with handing out small humble spaceships loaded with power.
Yes, we are eccentric and original, what is going to do. x_x *_* o_o
Why usb? The usb is the door of the present, we like to be pinched on the TV, in the car, to be pinched by the vein. As Jessi Bulbo says "I'll get to your house and you'll see, so saving your records will not be able to".
What is the closest future of Cuerpo Astral?
Now we are going to be presenting the album "La primera vez". We have a lot of ideas parked, many of them will be coming out, others are now unfeasible because we do not have the means, if someone put them on it would be a non-stop.
Digital tools for networking

We were sharing our knowledge about digital tools for networking.
It was in the "Course of university expert in Cultural Mangement" of the USC _Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.
We already gave this workshop in the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, so we have updated and improved it.
The contents we address are:
_ Basic operation on some digital tools.
_ Guidelines for forming and articulating a working group.
_ Methodologies of online and offline meetings.
_ Guidelines for decision-making.
_ Group crisis management.
In this document you can see the minutes of the class that was taken jointly between students and teachers.
On October 29, we will do this workshop again in A Coruña, within the activities of CoruñaDixital. It is free and some places are open.

Node of Galician initiatives #decrece2016
The node of Galician initiatives is an activity framed within the Encuentro Transición Decrecimiento 2016 that will be celebrate in Betanzos during the days 29, 30 and 31 of October.
All the info and registrations at https://transiciondecrecimiento2016.wordpress.com/
This node or workgroup intends to group people of Galician initiatives related to the transition and to the decrease in the broadest sense. The objectives are: to know and place each other. To share knowledge and experiences, problems and solutions, failures and sucesses. And to strengthen and to hatch networks of initiatives.
The dynamics that we want to implement are:
1) Presentation and mapping of local initiatives.
Each participant will present itself (sucesses and failures) and will be mapped saying "what he knows how to do /what he wants to learn".
2) Problems and solutions. Dynamic in that we will play to find problems or common concerns and possible solutions.
3) To activate a possible time bank, possible collaborations and network projects. To activate calendars for winter activities.
4) Presentation of results to the rest of the meeting participants. (10 minutes)
We have to ride between all!
Confirm your attendance and bring things.
RuralC at the II Encuentro Cultura y Ciudadanía
During the days 13 and 14 of October 2016 we were in the II Encuentro Cultura Ciudadanía
In 2016 the the Meeting focuses on a polyhedral reality, with multiple semantic drifts: the TERRITORY. This necessarily includes the sphere of the local, but it also implies a relational dimension that emphasizes the exchanges, negotiations, intersections and flows that occur or strike in a given cultural space. Beyond the city or municipality, culture is also expressed through spaces of encounter and fabrics of relationships that surpass and transcend the strictly local. Peers as center-periphery, global-local or urban-rural reject any absolute or antagonistic character, and appear rather as ambiguous and polysemic realities, in constant redefinition, based not so much on defining attributes as on relations and processes. Territory is also a flexible reality in spatial and symbolic terms, which can be expanded or contracted according to specific moments, circumstances and interests.
The meeting was articulated as a dynamic forum with presentations and interventions of 10/15 minutes of about 200 projects. Also themed tables and performances. Our presentation was inside the table Rural Urban Dialogues, Global Local, moderated by Fernando Bayona. We told the origins of the RuralC association and some of the projects we have development, contributing our vision of how we think culture could help to face the challenges that are presented to the rural.
Here we leave the slide of our presentation:
We also leave you some of the notes, tweets and projects presented:
Notes/tweets:
_ Facilitate processes and not events. (Alfredo _Fundación Cerezales)
_ Understand rural times and work from the rural.
_ That the state guarantees the autonomy of the commons. (Lucas_Zemos98)
_ To understand the playful way of making a city.
_ Making objects as an excuse to make community.
_ Social challenges from scientific questions (@CCiutadana)
Projecto:
Fundación Cerezales and its "Terriotorio Archivo", a project to learn a lot from the rural initiatives.
Katakrak is defined as a political enterprise, the time of work is dedicated to social transformation.
It develops on a library and as it is ordered around cross-sections such as: body, ecology, feminisms or geopolitics to become a space that generates community.
With a canteen that establishes relationships around products of closeness and organic production, with prices varying according to your purchasing level.
Carles presented us Les Falles Populars i Combatives, a proposal for an open and self-organized party born in 2002, the result of the combined work of various groups of the city of Valencia. They have been consolidated as a space in which to recover the popular spirit of the fallas, giving life to the squares, the solar (through the Xunta Solar Fallera) and the networks. During his presentation he reminded us how National Catholicism instrumented these popular festivals of a critical nature, such as the left and the libertarian movements reneged during decades of this party that belonged to them, and how gradually the self-management of the feast is recovered from the communities and outside of institutions and multinationals.
Alberto presented us El recetario a platform that freely shares documentation and manuals on constructive solutions for Habitat from Waste (Hábitat a partir de Residuos).
Fernando presented us the Festival de Video Creative Commons, A festival that has been replicated by different cities, and that you can also copy. It began with the Creative Commons licenses and has become a space for dialogue, knowledge and defense of Free Culture and audiovisual as a tool for criticism and transformation of our environment.
María Lobo and Roi presented us Rec Think. A web-doc with young people from rural areas in process of depopulation in four European countries. It seeks to involve them in a process to re-think and redefine their role in the future of these localities. Participatory video is the methodology used.
They release the code of all their methodology, offering Guides on the implementation of innovative strategies that promote the participation of young people in rural environments, on Participatory Video or on the promotion of transversal competences in rural environments.
We leave you a video of this project, which reflects the number of problems we face from the rural:
+ Photo album of the meeting by José Jurado _ RuralC on facebook.
We do not want to forget about the intense performance "Viva La guerra" Postverdiales, from the collective LOOPAI.
