"Agardando apréndese" by Os Gru

We present you this work we have made as Os Gru:
Articulated residues from the album "Chorando apréndese" by Emilio José, maybe the more genuine Galician work in recent decades.

This happens because we listen a lot that album, in Castilla, in Galicia, during the trip from one place to another, repeating the same song, rewinding parts of a song, searching cuts, cutting songs because there´re parts you don´t like, ... even we made a dance version of "Adeus Feijoo".

When will Emilio José release his new album? What is he doing? It was a recurrent subject in many trips by car.
We stopped to ask about, and after silence we decided: why don´t we make him a rehashed?
So this is what came out, using as raw material the properly "Chorando apréndese"; we didn´t have separated tracks.
John Oswald and Prefuse73 in the pan.

La Cooperativa

Our society has advanced in technology and medicine, and that has made human life is prolonged. But in which conditions is prolonged?
However, social progress has been much less; and such a positive thing as prolongation of life has became a social problem. What about the elderly?
What we ask ourselves is, what do we do with our lives?

"La cooperativa" is a documentary about a group of people who associated to build and living together in a social center for seniors.
This film shows that time when the center is already built and members of the cooperative leave their homes in Madrid to start living together.

Trabensol Cooperative consists of residents of different neighborhoods of Madrid linked to social movements. The center is located in Torremocha del Jarama (Madrid). Their proposal is to cooperate in order to self-manage an active and dignified old age. For more information, please visit Trabensol  web.

An audiovisual project by José Jurado with the support of Ayudas a la Creación Contemporánea Matadero Madrid 2011 of Madrid City Council.

We have been involved on this project, working on its management as RuralC, editing audio and video as Fur Alle Falle and creating the soundtrack as Dio3Stu.

We leave you here a funny teaser we also did.

Montenoso

Montenoso (the land is ours) is a project that was born in Summerlab 2012 in Alg-a Lab, Valadares, Vigo, in which we collaborate as RuralC with other collectives and associations, working in an openly and transparent way, with pads, trellos and regular meetings at Mumble. A project that aims to visualize the MVMC (Lands of Neighbors in Common Ownership) in Galicia. The MVMC in Galicia represent a type of ownership and management of property, that breaks the classic public / private dichotomy. The specifics of these lands is determined by the fact that the property goes to the residents who daily live in that territory. This form of commons affects more than 640,000 hectares, 33% of Galicia.

The objectives of this project are:

- Giving visibility to communal lands and communities that manage them.
- Supporting the (re) appropriation of these lands by the neighbors to guarantee the sustainability of the territories.
- Encouraging community members to be participants in the multifunctionality of lands and its revaluation.
- Learning from their genesis and management mechanisms.

To reach them we are developing three devices:

1) LAR: research space about commons and related topics.

2) Cartography that visualizes each MVMC with its contents.

3) An Intervention program.

During these 10 months we have worked in various groups: internal coordination, funding, LAR, Communication, Design (creation of logos, images, pictograms, ...).

Through the site www.montenoso.net you can follow our publications and see more deeply the project.

#ToqueaBankia with choke

Some years ago, watching dirties dances we found choke dance. This song, "choke con toque", was one of the few of choke style we liked, refers to ball culture. As you know we closely follow #15m and other activist groups, as Interviene Gila or #TubasuraAlBanco. This year though #Opboladenieve we found an interesting open debate that visualizes movements beyond typical demonstrations. Actions as the escrache proposed by PAH, the #OpLolaFlores, #cierratucuenta, and others that you can see in this pad via @tirorere. Trying to give a bit of atmosphere to the #15m2013, and with this idea of a sexy citizen movement, we made this video to support the action #ToqueaBankia which consists of "coming all together at a branch office of Bankia, in a fixed day and make peaceful and weary actions to block it: playing dominoes, paying invoices in cents. Putting down complaint forms so slowly and all you can think of".

Democracy's party

Some months ago José Jurado gave us a series of etchings he did when he was in Manchester, for us to complement them with colours and material.
Images taken from the mass media, later passed to this classic etching technique and then manipulated with collage and paint.

Images which reflect those moments of celebration of democracy in Spain so far in this century.

We think you might like to see this series on these days when corruption becomes a tradition in this country.

There is an etching we haven't published yet, with confetti from the last carnival.
